The awkwardly-named Ferrari LaFerrari is the company’s new limited-series flagship, offering F1-level technology in a stunning road-legal package. Apart from the unique, instant-classic looks, it features a new HY-KERS drivetrain system that pairs a 789hp, 6.3L V12 to a 160hp electric motor and a 7-speed DCT gearbox for a total of 949hp, a 0-62 time of under three seconds, a 0-124 time of under seven seconds, and a top speed of 205 mph. Helping things along is the highest degree of aerodynamic efficiency ever achieved with any road car, a chassis made from no less than four different types of hand-laminated carbon fiber to achieve an ideal 41/59 weight distribution, and an advanced Brembo braking system to get the thing stopped. Let’s hope you were already on the waiting list at your local dealer, as only 499 are being built.

LAMBORGHINI VENENO

The radically styled Lamborghini Veneno ($4.6 million) has been created for the supercar maker’s 50th anniversary, it’s reportedly based on the Aventador platform, with a 740 horsepower 6.5 liter V12, a seven-speed transmission, a top speed of 220 mph, and a 0-62 time under three seconds. Outside, however, it’s totally new, with a hyper-aggressive design that has more fins, flaps, and wings than a fighter jet. The only problem, apart from the price? Only three are being made, and they’re all already accounted for.

UBB WIDOW MAKER 1100 MUSTANG

This car has a “WEIRD” name for a reason. Powered by a 5.4L supercharged V8, the UBB Widow Maker 1100 Mustang ($135,000) pumps out a crazy 1,100 hp, good for a 0-60 dash of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 230 mph. Other custom features include a full carbon body kit, 19-inch black alloy wheels, Brembo brakes, Advan traction control, and available Recaro seats, de-cat pipes, and built-in laser jammers. So back to the original question — they call it “Widow Maker” because if you’re not careful, it’ll live up to its name.

The markets are flooded with iphone/ipod docks from a myriad of high end to low end manufacturers, but this gadget proves that there still is a room to be innovative and create an exciting product. The Day Maker ($100 and up) is an iPhone-charging alarm clock toaster that gives you two slots for charging two iPhones at once — just set your alarm and press them down. When it’s time to wake up, they’ll pop up just like toast, making for a way more enjoyable start to your day — and if you need extra time, just push them back down to snooze. Other features include a built-in, self-setting analog clock for you middle of the night waker-uppers, stereo sound with the ability to playback music via the iPod app, and a pull tab on the back to set and pop both iPhones at once.

If there is a salt on earth which can literally get you a distinction of “NAMAK HARAAM” , this is it . If it sounds weird, that’s because it is. Salt Made From Tears ($11-$47) are a collection of salts supposedly made with fresh human tears — tears produced by Anger, Chopping Onions, Sneezing, Laughter, and Sorrow, specifically — that are gently boiled, released into crystallization tanks, harvested, and rinsed in brine. Available in individual containers or as a full set.
