Buying phone specific battery packs in today’s “6-Month Obsolete cycle” for phones is an utter waste of money. Its better to go for something that can power up almost any gadget that has USB charging option. The Solar Joos Orange ($150), which charges about 3.5 times faster than other portable solar chargers, features high-efficiency solar cells that are set into a durable, injection-molded polycarbonate case that’s waterproof, sandproof, and generally rugged. It sports a 5400mAh lithium-ion polymer battery and a USB port for charging or powering everything from an iPad to a low-wattage fan. In addition, you can hook it to your computer to see reports on your power consumption and generation. It’s like your own portable power plant.

Finally, electric cars have started to come of age and are becoming attractive reality. Going by the pattern Tesla has unveiled its third electric car, and this time they’re aiming for something with a little more utility. The crossover-style Tesla Model X ($50,000-$90,000) can go 0-60 in 4.4 seconds, and sports falcon-wing doors for rear passengers. The Model X is capable to  hold seven passengers and their luggage, thanks to battery placement that lets you put your junk in a rear trunk and a front trunk. If you love classic cars and have the money to own one modern “CLASSIC” car, this is a worthy option for you to consider. The HB Coupe  is a custom — but fully road-ready — ride and offers a full carbon monocoque and a 3.0L inline six good for 306 hp. It sends that power to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual clutch transmission, making for a 0-62 time of 4.3 seconds and an estimated top speed of 155. Still in the development stage, it has yet to receive a price.
