This is the all new LG Optimus 2X, the first Dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor. NVIDIA® Tegra™ 2 is the world’s most advanced mobile processor, featuring the world’s first mobile dual-core CPU for up to 2x faster Web browsing; the world’s only ultra-low power (ULP) NVIDIA® GeForce® GPU for up to 5x faster gaming; and the world’s first mobile 1080p HD video processor for flawless HD video conferencing and playback. Get never-before-seen experiences on a mobile device with NVIDIA Tegra. (Source: http://www.nvidia.com).

The phone itself will have a 4-inch WVGA screen, 8GB of internal memory (expandable to 32GB with microSD), an accelerometer, a gyro sensor, and 1080p MPEG-4/H.264 playback and recording. And as an icing to the cake the phone is going to sport a 8 Mp camera and a 1.3 Mp front facing camera too to enable video calling.

The Optimus 2X will start shipping with Android 2.2 initially rather than the coveted Gingerbread OS. The phone will be launched in Korea initially and would go on sale from January 2011 and later in the rest of the world. The Android world surely is garnering excitement with astonishing hardware configurations equivalent to a computer. The Android world has not rested since the time of launch of The Google Nexus One and we hope that this excitement continues and we see better devices in the times to come.
